Heart West Midlands is one of the popular music projects originating from 1994. The studio is based in Birmingham, located in the West Midlands. This station, like many others with the Heart name, began broadcasting in 1994 and has changed its name multiple times. Initially, it broadcasted on a frequency of 100.7 FM. This project became the third of its kind, considered independent in the UK, yet owned by Global Radio. From 11 September 2007, it was simply referred to as Heart, like other stations. It was under this name that it appeared in the first advertising articles and television commercials. However, the company was able to fully realise its potential with the simultaneous broadcast on the second frequency of 106.2 FM, which could be listened to across London. On weekdays, music entertainment programmes ran for 7 hours, and on weekends for 4.
