Heart Radio Wales live (also known as "Heart South Wales") is an independent radio station serving listeners in South and West Wales. It is a local project aimed at a relevant audience. Like many others, it is owned by the Global Radio corporation and is part of the Heart network. The same corporation manages it. Broadcasting takes place at a frequency of 105.4 FM, and there is also an option to listen online. The history of the radio station began in October 2000 when it first went on air. At that time, its name was "Real Radio." Even then, it was aimed at Wales and the local audience. The ratings and popularity of this radio station grew slowly but steadily. By January 2011, it became clear that there was a need to expand its reach to North and Mid Wales. A year later, Global Radio acquired GMG Radio. A rebranding took place, and "Real Radio" was split into two stations: "South Wales" and "North Wales." This allowed the resource to become unique, in accordance with the demands of the specific audience. Local programs are recorded and broadcast from Cardiff Bay, while network programs are created by the Global Radio headquarters.
